According to Reuters' reports, General Keith Kellogg, a peculiar U.S. President's envoy for Russia and Ukraine, is to resign from his post in January. The information came only a fewer hours after the agency revealed the details of the controversial peace plan for Ukraine, providing for, among others, Kiev's surrender of parts of territories and a crucial simplification in the number of armed forces.
Kellogg was seen as a key ally of Ukraine surrounded by Donald Trump, especially during a period of tensions in relations between Washington and Kiev, which intensified after a severe conflict between Trump and Zelenski in February of that year.
Reuters stressed that Kellogg was much harsher than another U.S. government officials criticized Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure.
Out of frustration?
According to 1 of the agency's informants, Kellogg believed that Ukraine's affairs were handled in administration by besides many officials, and the White home itself does not see that Russia, alternatively than Ukraine, is blocking advancement in peace talks.

Kellogg vs. Witkoff

In negotiations with the Russians, he was replaced by Steve Witkoff, originally appointed as an envoy for the mediate East.
According to Reuters, there were disputes between Kellogg and Witkoff due to the fact that Witkoff was very frequently to replicate Russian narratives.
