The territory Court for Warsaw Śródmieście acquitted a volunteer of the Life and household Foundation, who burned a material called the LGBT “flag”. The situation took place during the counter-stop LGBT against the march of equality in Warsaw on 17 June 2023. The verdict confirms that actions to defend fundamental principles are lawful, and the LGBT pseudoflag is not a flag.
Acquittal for burning LGBT flags – details of the case
At the intersection of Marszałkowska Streets and View, the prolifer opposed the promotion of LGBT ideology. so burnt six-colour material, which left-wing environments call "flaga". The court confirmed that striped canvas is not a flag under the law, and the protest did not endanger security.
The action took place in a place excluded from movement, distant from people and property. The activist took care of safety – she had an aluminum blanket, fire extinguisher and water in her backpack. After the protest, the area was cleaned up. The court found that the action has not infringed Article 82(5) of the Code of Offence, which confirms the work and legality of the protest.
Meaning of the judgment
Acquittal for burning the flag LGBT It's not a triumph for 1 prolifer. It is besides a strong signal that the law protects freedom of expression in defence of normality. The judgement confirms that specified action, if carried out in a safe and lawful manner, is Acceptable and are not penalized. Our volunteer protest was a brave objection to imposing LGBT ideology, which increasingly tries to dominate public space, promoting content contrary to Polish culture and customs.
The court, recognizing the deficiency of any signs of misconduct, challenged the communicative of leftist groups, which frequently present any opposition to their agenda as "Hate speech‘or ‘homophobia’.
