Already on Sunday, April 27, 2025 the streets of Warsaw will again be filled with thousands of people from all over Poland who will come to defend life, household and national values. This year's National March of Life will be held under the motto: "When the heart beats, past happens".
The event will begin at 12:30 in Castle Square, from where the participants will embark on a march on Stefan Grot-Rowecki Square. The march will be preceded by the Holy Mass at 11:00, celebrated at the Archated by St John the Baptist and at the Basilica of St Florian the Martyr and St Michael the Archangel.
On that day, many communities will unite for 1 intent – in defence of life from conception to natural death. The National March of Life brings together people who do not want to stay passive to the violation of the most fundamental rights in Poland: the right to life, the right to rise children according to their own beliefs and the right to express patriotic values without fear
from censorship.
This year's manifestation will besides be an expression of public opposition to dramatic events that touched the consciences of thousands of Poles. 1 of the most shocking cases is the case from the infirmary in Oleśnica, where, in the ninth period of pregnancy, an abortion of the kid was carried out through a heart injection of potassium chloride. In Warsaw, the beginning of the alleged "Abotak Abortion Clinic", which, according to the statements of its creators, promotes abortion and is to carry out treatments illegally, thus breaking Polish law and constitution.
"So there will be even greater mobilisation and even greater solidarity between people and organisations, and March will be an excellent chance to do so. We cannot afford to be passive at specified a difficult, even dramatic moment," the organizers emphasize.
The march will besides have a peculiar historical dimension, as it will be held on the day of the millennium of the coronation of Bolesław Chrobry, the first king of Poland. On this occasion, participants will be able to see a parade of warriors, knights and soldiers – pedestrians and horsemen – led by a royal group with Bolesław Chrobry himself at the head. It is simply a tribute to our past, an expression of gratitude for the Christian roots of Poland and its national identity, and at the same time a sign that the heritage of a 1000 years is inactive alive and calls us to work for the present and future.
The organizer of the National March of Life is the Holy Benedict Foundation, together with the Coalition of Life and Family, the Polish Federation of Life defence Movements, the Center of Life and Family, the Association of independency March, the Knights of Columbus, Knights of John Paul II and over 50 partner organizations from all over Poland. The honorary patronage over the event was the Polish Episcopal Conference, and Archbishop Adrian Galbas and Bishop Romuald Kamiński were blessed with shepherd's blessing.
The National March of Life aims to show that Poland has not forgotten its values. It is the voice of a generation that says “no” to the civilization of death and “yes” to the civilization of life.
