WARSHAW BIELANA-ŻOLIBORZ | Celebrating the National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers

On 28 February the Bielańsko-Żoliborski Polish Gazeta Club organized together with Solidarity Fighting ceremonies related to the National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers. The celebrations began at 12 p.m. in the Church of the kid Jesus from where the participants set off for the monument of Rotmaster Witold Pilecki.

Members of Bielańsko-Żoliborski Klub Gazeta Polska present attended 1 March at 20 p.m. at the Death Wall at 37 Rakowiecka to participate in the National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers.

On 1 March 1951, in the Mokotowski prison at 37 Rakowiecka Street, the communists murdered 7 members of the 4th Board of the Main Association of Freedom and Intelligence. The executions began at 8 p.m. under the prison wall – the Wall of Death.

To celebrate the victims of this murder, the day of March 1 became the National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers celebrated since 2011.
