The Russians are advancing on Bachmut despite crucial losses primarily among their soldiers and mercenaries, but they have not achieved their intended goal, reports the ISW think tank. At the same time, Russian commanders are afraid about the anticipation of large Ukrainian offensive operations in the northern part of Luhansk Oblast and in the Zaporizhia region. There is simply a dilemma as to which of these threats to counter in the first place, the British Ministry of Defence said on Sunday.
