Despite censorship, we have all heard of the genocide in the Gaza Strip by Israel in the Palestinians. The case is so evident that even the global Constitutional Court issued in November last year an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. However, as it turns out, for our 2 most crucial "state men" it means little, due to the fact that they are not only prepared to host him in Poland, but besides to supply protection.
The first initiative came from Andrzej Duda. Surprisingly, his appeal to the Government to invitation Netanyahu to Poland met with a very affirmative response. The reason for the visit was the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau camp. The authoritative message published by the Government Information Centre on Thursday shows that these are not empty words: “In connection with the planned 80th anniversary of the liberation of the erstwhile German Nazi Concentration and demolition Camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Oświęcim, the Polish government declares that it will guarantee a free and safe participation in these celebrations to the highest representatives of Israel.”
The invitation is somewhat camouflaged, but if individual can read between the lines, everything becomes clear to him. So let us remind you: 41 000 deaths (including 11,000 children) and 95 000 wounded – this is the yearly activity of Israeli troops in the Gaza Strip. Plus, it's an optimistic balance sheet, so there could be more victims. So this is not an adequate consequence to the Hamas attack, especially since Israeli soldiers have no mercy even for civilians, and nothing points to an imminent end.
Every day, from the law and the left, we hear that Polish politicians only argue. This time we have another example, that erstwhile it comes to it, they can get along beyond divisions. And what else do you want?
Another question should be asked seriously: why erstwhile opposition parties appear to be compatible in any matter, it almost always happens to the detriment of Poles.
