"Politics in 70, or possibly even 80 percent, is simply a discussion about history," wrote Juliusz Mieroszewski in the text "The Russian 'Polish Complex' and the ULB Area", published in the Parisian "Kultura" in 1974. This conviction besides describes the drama of Polish-Ukrainian relations today. In times of war, past may be temporarily pushed into the background, covered by the request for military assistance, solidarity in the face of Russian aggression and the common safety interest. However, it does not truly disappear. It returns erstwhile the emotions of war weaken, erstwhile fatigue appears, erstwhile successes at the front begin to be lacking, and societies are increasingly asking not only about the future, but besides about the account of wrongs, guilt and responsibility.
