General gathering of Members of the National Defence.pl and fresh authorities and a fresh direction of the association.

On 20.04.2024 at 10 a.m. in Otwock, Poniatowskiego 1 Street, the General gathering of Members of the Defence National Association was held.pl – Movement for Territorial Defence. This gathering took place under the patronage of the president of Otwock City, Mr Jarosław Margielski, who was besides an honorary guest of the WZC. During a brief gathering with the President, the directions for further cooperation in the area of crisis management support and joint exercises of the Otwock National Defence Association were established.

The second guest of honor of the WZC was our dear colleague and friend Damian Duda, president of the Foundation “In the meantime”, who in short terms introduced the Foundation's activity, which he stands for. Both Coll. Damian and the current participants of the WZC declared their willingness to cooperate between the 2 associations in the field of broadly understood construction and strengthening defence and resilience of the state.

After the authoritative part was completed, a part related to the selection of fresh authorities and the establishment of the directions of the association’s activities began.

General gathering of Members of the National Defence Association.pl has chosen the following authorities:

A. The Board of the National Defence Association.pl:

  1. Mr Grzegorz Matyasik – president ON.PL
  2. Mr Piotr Plakha – Vice president ON.PL
  3. Mr Marek Mroszczyk – Vice president ON.PL
  4. Mr Marek Kulesza – Vice president ON.PL
  5. Mr Hubert Zalewski – Treasurer ON.PL
  6. Mr Paweł Nazarewski – associate of the Management Board ON.PL
  7. Mr Kamil Basaj – associate of the Management Board ON.PL

B. Review Commission composed of:

  1. Mr Wojciechowski – president of the Audit Committee
  2. Ms Aneta Salska – associate of the Review Committee
  3. Mr Piotr Chrabąszcz – associate of the Audit Committee

In connection with the accomplishment of the main nonsubjective defined inactive in 2010, namely the formation of the Territorial Defence Army, the WZC decided to change the name of the association to: National Defense.pl – Movement for Universal Defence and State Resistance and passed a fresh association statute setting out fresh objectives, including:

  1. action for independency of the Republic of Poland and its strengthening,
  2. to advance the creation of a universal defence strategy that full exploits the possible of state and local authorities, bodies of the education and higher education system, local communities, economical operators, NGOs and citizens, which will constitute a comprehensive resilience of the state to non-military and military threats.
  3. conducting a social run to establish a strategy of universal defence of Poland and social and state resilience of Poland
  4. development of assumptions for the State opposition Act
  5. to advance the establishment and improvement of a single strategy for the management of individual resources, including the administration of individual reserves for national safety purposes,
  6. to improve the level of resilience to cyber threats and to increase the level of information protection in the public, military, private sectors and to advance cognition and good practices enabling citizens to better defend their information, including information resources
  7. action to build capacity to defend the information space (including systemic combating disinformation), understood as permeable layers of space: virtual (system, software and application layer), physical (infrastructure and equipment) and cognitive (cognitive)
  8. preparing young people and citizens of the Republic of Poland for universal state service carried out within the armed forces of the Republic of Poland, civilian protection formation, and another non-military strategy services, as well as various uniform and state formations
  9. raising members in a patriotic spirit around values specified as: God, Honor, Homeland.
