On Thursday, Waldemar Żurek reported that in his first week of office as Minister of Justice he decided to suspend 46 presidents and vice presidents of courts throughout the country. As a reason, he indicated the letter's signatures to the "neoKRS" or the fact that these judges are "neossiers".

On Friday, Waldemar Żurek was a guest on the show "Guest of Radio ZET". In an interview with Beata Lubecka, he revealed the circumstances of granting him an appointment as head of MS.
– I got it (proposal – ed.) on vacation [...], just before the nomination. On the last day, Thursday exactly, I came to Warsaw, shortening my vacation. I went to a gathering with the Prime Minister and after an hr and a half – which was truly hard for me, so that I never faced specified a hard professional decision – I stated that it was specified a minute that we could not neglect to take this challenge," he said.
The Minister of Justice stressed that the most crucial thing the Prime Minister said to him was "the sphere of independence". "The Prime Minister said clearly that he wants it to be a man who is not a politician who is seen as independent and who will have a very large space of independency in decisions concerning this ministry," said the Minister.
And he added, "I got a free hand to act.
