Waćkowski: The defeat of Epstein's coalition in Slovenia

myslpolska.info 1 day ago

Parliamentary elections were held in Slovenia in April 2022. As a consequence of the elections, the authorities lost the Slovenian Democratic Party. The fresh Prime Minister of Slovenia was Robert Golub of the Social Liberal Freedom Movement. The Freedom Movement formed a coalition with the Social Democrats and the Left. What is worth emphasizing, Left in its own electoral programme opposes the militarization of Slovenia, has thesis on neutral abroad policy.

The fresh government aimed at improving wellness services, improving public services, not serving Ukraine and filling the pockets of arms companies. In Slovenia, a referendum on NATO membership was scheduled to take place in 2025 due to opposition in the governing coalition to militarisation and spending 5% of GDP on armaments. Ultimately, the referendum did not take place due to the advanced hazard that the Slovenians would say no to NATO. The Slovenian Government has an assertive policy towards Israel and the United States of America (seeing any similarities with the Spanish Government's policy).

Faulty train

The main opposition organization in Slovenia is the Slovenian Democratic organization (SDS). The organization is headed by 2 Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Janša. This group is neoconservative about geopolitics and at the same time socially Trumpist. Janša was on a celebrated train to Kiev with instigators of war in 2022, including then Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki (former advisor to the current Prime Minister Donald Tusk), Jarosław Kaczyński and then Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala. Supporting the Kiev government does not serve, as no of the participants of the journey are Prime Minister anymore. The leader of the Slovenian Democratic organization has a very good relation with the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán.

German support

Janša, before the March parliamentary election, could number on the support of the administration of the president of the United States of America Donald Trump. The erstwhile Prime Minister of Slovenia besides supported a bland instigator from Bavaria Manfred Weber. Weber heads the European People's Party. He is simply a war instigator akin to his organization colleague and Chancellor of the national Republic of Germany Friedrich Merz. The interest of the Germans in Slovenian politics is not surprising, as apart from the Anglo-Saxons, Germany had the top share in the demolition of Yugoslavia.

War and Elections

The electoral threshold in Slovenia is 4%, there are 90 mandates to be filled (de facto 88 mandates, as 1 mandate is for the Hungarian number and 1 Italian minority). The Slovenian Democratic organization has clearly conducted pre-election polls, reaching over 30%. On 28 February 2026, the aggression of Israel and the United States of America began on the muslim Republic of Iran. From this point on, you can see a clear breakdown in the SDS polls. The election was won by the Freedom Movement with a score of 28.63%, which gave 29 tickets. The second place was taken by the Slovenian Democratic organization with a score of 27.95%, which gave 28 seats.

Left Against NATO

Co-ordinated Social Democrats obtained 6.71%, giving 6 tickets. The co-ordinating Left had included in its electoral programme The NATO exit. Left scored 5.58%; this consequence allowed to get 5 tickets. The coalition presently ruling Slovenia in the election gained a full of 40 seats. Assuming cooperation with representatives of national minorities, this gives a full of 42 mandates.

SDS without majority

New Slovenia – Christian Democrats, Slovenian People's organization and Focus Marko Lotričia as a coalition gained 9.29%. This consequence allowed to get 9 tickets. The coalition parties belong to the European People's Party. In the Slovenian Democratic Party, there was a controlled split. Breakers formed a organization of Democrats. Democrats gained 6.69% in the March elections, which allowed for 6 mandates. The SDS and its allies together have 43 mandates (including the support of representatives of the Hungarian and Italian minorities, 1 mandate to the majority is missing).

Nationals under the threshold

Once again, the electoral threshold was not exceeded by the Slovenian National Party. These groups in program for the 2026 parliamentary elections had a written exit from NATO. The nationalists gained 2.25%, which represents an improvement compared to the 2022 elections (in 2022 the nationalists gained 1.49%).

New against NATO and the EU

For the first time in the Slovenian Parliament there will be a group of Resni.ca. In this group there is no shortage of erstwhile Slovenian National organization activists. Resni.ca came out into broad political waters criticizing the policy of coercion of vaccination on the virus, which ceased to be dangerous with the start of peculiar Military Operations by the president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Resni.ca criticises NATO, the EU. This group opposes the policy of sanctions against the Russian Federation, criticizing the backing of the Kiev regime. Resni.ca gained 5.52% in this year's parliamentary election, which allowed to get 5 seats. Group Leader Zoran Stevanović (pictured) ruled out a coalition with the Slovenian Democratic Party.

Crisis

After the election there was a political crisis, due to the fact that without Resni.ca there will be no majority created around the Slovenian Democratic Party. On the another hand, 1 of the centre-right parties is improbable to form a government with parties forming the current coalition. The consequence of the election shows that supporting or not distancing from the criminal policy of the Yankee oligarch and president of the United States of America Donald Trump brings only political losses (this was besides seen in the fresh referendum in Italy).
