A fewer months ago, I wrote in “Polish Thoughts” ReviewCrowns of Kings. The Jagillons The review was beautiful flattering. Continuation of the show Crown of Kings. The Jagillons There's a show. Kings. Unfortunately, this show is weaker than the erstwhile one, but it is definitely worth watching.
The show starts erstwhile the king of Poland goes to Hungary for the Hungarian crown Władysław II, and ends at the wedding of the king Kazimierz Jagiellończyk au Elizabeth Rakushanka.
Missed Battle
The conflict of Varna is very poorly shown on the show. No substance what we think of this feud in which the Polish king was active in the interests of the Vatican and the Papal Legate, it was better to show this conflict as a clash of Slavs, Romanians, Hungarians from the Ottoman Empire. There is virtually no Turkish camp in the show, no sultan, no large vizier, no vizier. On the Turkish tv series A large Century courtes are shown, the political plans of Christian rulers in the context of the Ottoman Empire (some caricaturely shown is the King of Hungary Ludwik Jagielloński, grandson Kazimierz Jagiellończyk). The problem is not only with the Ottoman Empire, but at all with abroad capitals; the Habsburgs or Rurykovichs are not shown.
Sleazy
After the defeat at Varna, a legendary knight returns to Poland Mug (Must Knight most likely killed a large Teutonic Master under Grunwald Ulrich von Jungingen). Muszczej has traumatic experiences from the Balkans, due to the fact that he saw his Polish comrades execution Turks. 1 of the torturers comes to Krakow as an MP (to make it more fun, his name is Erdogan). You can see the slobs of the script's authors, due to the fact that Muszczej challenges Erdogan from Persian dogs. Must be so afraid about Erdogan's presence that he's dying of a heart attack.
Uncomfortable threads
In the series, not adequate space is devoted to the fight between Kazimierz Jagiellończyk and the prince Michałuszka. Prince Michałusz asked for aid in combating our ruler of the Grand Duchy of Moscow. However, this would be embarrassing due to the fact that the Polish cinema is simply a hostage of the modern anti-Russian obsession. Kazimierz Jagiellończyk was both the Grand Duke of Lithuania and the King of Poland. He could fight Moscow, and he could fight Moscow. Kazimierz Jagiellończyk was an Eurasian ruler in contrast to his brother, who was looking into the West and Catholic spiritual persons. The creators of the series omitted that during the period of the kingless not only abroad rulers were considered as candidates for the Polish throne. The most serious candidates for the Polish crown were the Masovian Piasts.
Hybrid with Teutonic Knights
It is very good that the show shows the Prussian Union. Hybrid actions aimed at the Teutonic Order are shown. It is simply a pity that the series ends with the declaration of war by the Polish king to the Teutonic Order, during a lively speech by the Polish ruler. Kazimierz Jagiellończyk applied akin methods to the Teutonic Knights as Poles in advanced Silesia after planet War I. Unfortunately, the show does not show the large Polish triumph of the 13-year war. By virtue of the second peace of Toruń to the Polish Kingdom passed Pomerania Gdańsk, Chełmińska land, Michałów land, and besides gained Warmia, Powiśle, Elbląg, Malbork.
More about Victory
The show ends at the wedding of Kazimierz Jagiellończyk with Elizabeth Rakushanka. Many children were born from this marriage, including 3 kings of Poland, the king of the Czech Republic and Hungary, a Catholic saint. It is simply a pity that the creators of the series did not show the increasing up of future rulers. On the Turkish tv series A large Century It shows childhood, puberty to regulation princes, mixing Ottoman oligarchs.
Unfortunately, the show Kings ends the series series about Polish rulers. Regardless of many faults, the show shows our homeland strong, with a wise ruler, people who can be called statesmen. More productions should be created in our homeland showing glorious, victorious periods from Polish history.
