The investment in safety connected with the competences of the highest representatives of the Polish Army is an investment in human life – noted Deputy Head of the National Defence Commission. The politician described how higher military education works, especially in terms of the preparation of cybersecurity and unmanned personnel.

Deputy Minister of National Defence Stanisław Wiątek reminded Members that there are 5 higher military schools in our country. “The most important, specified a advanced order, due to the fact that training to the general level, is the Academy of War Art, which, as you most likely all know, we want to transform into the University of National safety in a moment,” said the deputy chief of the MON. He stated that 2334 academic teachers are employed in military universities, including 1812 civilian and 522 professional soldiers. In contrast, the educational offer per university is as follows: Military method Academy – 41 studies, Naval Academy – 17, Academy of War Art – 13, Academy of Land Forces – 7 and Aviation Military Academy – 6. The full number of civilian students is 11 320, and the military is 9186.

Stanisław Wąątek besides pointed out that all military academies carry out technological activities in the field of safety sciences and mentioned the Federation of Military Academy. – 2 colleges are established: the Naval Academy in Gdynia and the Military Aviation Academy in Dęblin. Cybersecurity

The deputy chief of the MON paid large attention to issues related to the preparation of cybersecurity personnel and unmanned aircraft. He pointed out that in this first field, the preparation of officers' staff in military studies is carried out, for example, at the Military method Academy in 4 courses of uniform master's degree with military specialty and at six-month officer and sub-office courses. In AMW, students are educated in 2 directions: IT and information systems in security, and on AWL in IT. – In the field of cybersecurity presently 1751 candidates for officers are trained, of which 1676 in military colleges, and 75 enlisted officers in the officer course conducted at WAT – calculated the take. The politician pointed out that 515 seats are planned for fresh students in cybersecurity-related military fields in the academic year 2026/2027 and 35 professional officers will be qualified by the WAT for a six-month officer course related to cybersecurity.

Therefore, fresh courses are introduced in universities, specified as quantum computing and artificial intelligence.

A strategy of professional improvement in cybersecurity is besides important, according to the Deputy Head of the Ministry. Soldiers who are already prepared to act in this specialty must proceed to improve their competence. In order to make this easier, laboratories were planned to open in the coming years, including cyberspace, ICT security, mobile systems or virtual simulation. The plans besides include fresh courses of study, e.g. the operation of unmanned marine weapons systems and terrestrial systems against unmanned weapons. “We have before us a full set of survey programs that affect the implementation of Ukrainian experiences covering tactics, recognition, air defense, combined fire support and engineering and medical security. These are the areas that completely alter the existing perception of the battlefield and the concepts of military preparation for emergency response. Therefore, we request to translate these experiences as shortly as possible to prepare our commanders for a skillful consequence to the emerging threat," stressed the deputy chief of the MON.

Stanisław Wąątek besides talked about the improvement of drone troops and training specialists dealing with drones at universities, as well as investing in military training from unmanned workers. In his opinion, all soldier should have basic skills in drone handling. Besides, civilians should besides be prepared. Deputy Chief of the Ministry of Defence mentioned that he was formed Special program for military classes dedicated to drones. It is tested in any schools. We're watching this pilot work. We draw conclusions on what can be improved, whether more equipment and instructors are needed for training," the Deputy Minister said.

Youth proposals

In total, MON conducts 4 educational projects aimed at the youth of secondary schools, the most crucial of which, embedded in the provisions of educational law, is simply a program of military preparation branches. The second is ‘CYBER.MIL with class’ for pupils of schools selected by competition. Currently, 15 schools are participating in the project, with 765 students in 57 classes. – A full of 494 schools participate in MON's educational programs at the advanced basic level, where 34.5 1000 students are taught in 1578 classes. This is simply a truly powerful army. any of these students associate their future and career with the military," stressed the deputy chief of the MON.

Two training projects were addressed to students: Academic Legia and scholarship program. The first 1 has been piloted since the 2017/2018 school year, and training is carried out within the Academic Legion. So far, 7 editions of this programme have been implemented. Its expression involves 27-day basic training as part of voluntary essential military service, carried out in a military unit and ending with a military oath with a rank of Private Reserve. So far, 22,722 students have been trained as part of the program, and nearly 40 universities are actively active in the implementation of the program annually in the theoretical part of the sub-office and officer module. The scholarship program includes a tiny number of possible future soldiers, about 50 students. They receive support in the form of 50% of the wage of a soldier carrying out voluntary essential military service in force on the date of conclusion of the contract.
