The German paper "Süddeutsche Zeitung" draws a pessimistic image of Polish-German relations in the context of upcoming intergovernmental consultations. The hope of a breakthrough was not fulfilled with Chancellor Friedrich Merzem. "Something seems to have broken between the neighbors," we read.
