In the next academic year, the limit of military studies will be 2631 – according to a task prepared in the MON. There will so be 30 more than this year. Candidates will have a choice of 4 academies and 18 courses, including 1 fresh 1 – automation and robotics on AMW. So far, it has been offered exclusively in civilian studies.
The limits for military studies for future officers shall be determined annually. This is essential due to the fact that of, for example, changing plans for the improvement and modernisation of troops, including the introduction of fresh equipment, weapons or technology. In practice, the MON each time determines the request for certain specialists-portudents in a fewer years ahead – it matters where and what graduates will be needed after graduation and officer promotion. “By doing so, military studies play the function of a strategy of precise “ordering” of staff, taking into account defence plans and the changing nature of the modern armed forces,” acknowledged representatives of the MON. There are besides training opportunities for military universities, including, for example, the number of instructors, a teaching base or university infrastructure.
According to specified assumptions, a limit was besides set for military studies in the academic year 2026/27. According to the draft regulation prepared in the MON, training at 4 military universities – Military Academy Technical in Warsaw, Academy Navy in Gdynia, Academy Land troops in Wrocław and Military Academy of Aviation in Dęblin – will be able to start 2631 people. Apart from Dęblin, all another universities will offer somewhat more seats than this year.
New direction for AMW
Studies at the Naval Academy will be open to 169 people (this year 157). Most people will be accepted for navigation (60), mechanical engineering and mechanical engineering (24), computer discipline (21) and logistics (20). Volunteers will besides be able to apply for a seat on mechatronics (14) and information systems in safety (15). The offer will besides include a fresh direction of automation and robotics, offered so far exclusively in civilian studies at the Mechanical and Electrical Faculty.
– The importance of robotic technologies and automation, besides in the army, is increasing, and with this increasing request for technological specialists. The offered direction is designed for people who, after graduating as officers, will be able to operate not only equipment but besides manage complex, automated systems. – says Dr. Radosław Maslak, AMW Press Secretary. He adds: "Training in this direction will be possible to start 15 candidates for officers, planned for a fresh kind of unmanned naval weapon systems.
Military method Academy will offer the most to volunteers, due to the fact that as many as 1280 indexes (this year there were 1243 seats). Candidates will have a choice of 13 directions, and more places than will be in this one: mechatronics (210, there were 185), mechanicals and mechanicals (103 – 54), electronics and telecommunications (234 – 255), logistics (113 – 95), economical logistics (60 – 15) and computer discipline (75 – 66). It will besides apply to: aviation and cosmonautics (137 seats), electronic and telecommunications technologies (116), geodesy and cartography (85), construction (72), cryptology and cybersecurity (39), chemistry (25) and safety engineering (11).
11 more places than this year are foreseen in the Wrocław AWL. In a university educating future staff, the studio will be able to take up as many as 969 candidates for officers. 110 seats will be waiting for safety engineering, 61 for logistics, and 15 for IT. Traditionally, the most people will be taken to the command direction (783). "In the face of the creation of fresh divisional and brigade structures, the education of leaders is simply a necessity. It is the graduates of this direction who are the most powering the command structures of linear units – says Major Roksana Borowska, AWL's press spokesperson.
It will be a small harder to get the Air Force Academy Index in 2026. The Dęblin University will offer 213 seats, 90 little than in 2025, which besides means tougher selection for candidates. The largest drop in admissions will be noted in the direction of aviation and cosmonautics, where 95 people will be admitted (in 2025 there were 159). Smaller limits will besides apply in 3 another directions: air safety engineering (42, was 51), logistics (33 – 40) and navigation (43 – 53). As the representatives of the MON emphasize, this does not mean reducing the importance of aviation training, but adapting it to the real needs of the armed forces and the planned number of posts in the Air Force units of the Republic of Poland over the next fewer years.
Research, WF and interview
General recruitment rules presume that in each academy it will include an analysis of the grades of the matriculation, a PE exam, an interview, and for those who will not pass the English language on the matriculation, a test of his knowledge. Those who will apply to LAW in the fields of aviation and cosmonautics and navigation will gotta undergo specialist medical examinations in the Military Aviation and Medical Commission in Warsaw before the exams, and candidates for pilots will be directed for training to check the suitability for air service. Only after the affirmative passage of these stages will they be able to take preliminary examinations. Detailed rules and procedures for recruitment will be laid down in the MON.
Individuals who are eligible for studies will start their education at the start of their studies voluntary essential military service. Since the second year, after submitting their application, they will become professional soldiers. Graduates will be promoted to the first military degree in the corps of officers (substantiate/substant of the Navy) after receiving their graduation degree and appointed to the first work positions in all types of armed forces.
