Von der Leyen and Costa will meet Xi Jinping

The MFA Communication announced that the summit would be co-chaired by the Prime Minister of the PRC Li Qiang. The gathering will be held on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Beijing and Brussels. The visit will take place during periods of commercial and political tensions between the EU and the PRC. Both sides criticise each another for violating the principles of fair trade.
