Zelenski recalled that Russia has been incapable to respond ‘yes’ to the proposal of a truce in the war it is conducting against Ukraine for a week. “It’s about to take a week for everyone in the world... to know that Putin is stalling the war,” he stressed.
Referring to the talks with the Ukrainian president, Macron wrote on platform X that fighting and war atrocities must stop, and Russian deported Ukrainian children must join families. “These are all conditions that Russia must meet. And I am assured of president Trump's commitment to this issue," he stressed.
“President Zelenski showed courage by accepting the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire. Now Russia must prove that it truly wants peace,” added the president of France.
