The celebration of the Polish Army, celebrated on 15 August, is simply a unique occasion to honour soldiers who, in the past and today, defend our Homeland. This event is not only historical but besides a minute of reflection on the contemporary importance of military service.
INTERNAL CURRENCY
On 13 August at the office of the Veteran Centre, an authoritative gathering was held for the celebration of the Polish Army, during which employees and soldiers of the Centre and invited guests had the chance to celebrate the memory of those who service our Homeland. The celebration of the Polish Army is simply a peculiar day for all soldiers, army workers, as well as their families and relatives! A day full of joy and pride with the chance to service the Republic of Poland. It's besides a good day to thank you for this service. Today, I peculiarly thank all veterans who risked their lives and health, engaged in missions outside the borders of the Polish state.
It is their steadfastness that gives us motivation and strength and is an example of how to act in life – said Colonel Dr. Katarzyna Rałędowska, manager of the Veteran Centre.
Krzysztof Kosiński, manager of the Department of Social Affairs, presented the Silver Medals “Armed Forces in Homeland Service” to the awarded soldiers. manager Kosiński stressed that he thanked the Veteran Centre very much for its activities and saw the crucial contribution of work to veterans of their families.
The ceremony was besides attended by Mrs Jadwiga Zakrzewska, president of the Foundation "No 1 Stays", who stressed in her speech that she was supporting veterans and the activities of the Centre. She besides pointed out that it is very crucial for her that people, especially young people, know what missions outside the country are. The celebration ended with the solemn laying of flowers and symbolic inflammation under the monument of the Dead and the Dead in Missions outside the State Borders.
INTERNATIONAL ACCENT
As part of the celebration of this year's Polish Army Christmas, the Veteran Centre donated to soldiers serving in PKW Romania unique cards prepared by children from the student groups of PCK at the public primary schools of the territory of Brest and wishes from members and volunteers of the territory Branch of PCK in the Bank and ellipse No. 12 of the Polish Army Soldiers Association. The aim of this initiative is to show support to soldiers who are presently serving on missions, to show that Polish society remembers them and is arrogant of them.

Representatives of the Veteran Center will besides be present at the grand military parade to be held on 15 August. On that day we will besides be able to meet our heroes – veterans who will gladly share their experiences.
