VAE VICTIS! VAE (MALIS) VICTORIBUS!

Woe to the overcome! These include not only those defeated in wars or elections but besides by fate. They were peasants of the state, now precursors – employed workers whose wages do not supply decent life (or creditworthiness), low-paid workers of the "budget" – medical staff, teachers, officials, etc. They are besides tiny entrepreneurs, forced to go bankrupt, losers in systemic transformation, homeless and disabled.

Glory to the victors! Not only the violent, but all those previously calculated, who, though defeated, have retained dignity and interior freedom and, as small as possible, work for future victory.

Woe to (bad) winners! These are the introductory states after the victorious wars of panic and exploitation of conquered lands, the parties after the winning elections imposing oppression on opposition and society with different views. They are state officials and organization officials who are rich at the expense of the state and society entrusted to them. It is entrepreneurs exploiting employees (more than a fair profit), besides officials treating arrogant customers.

Vae Victis!

* Oh, my God * The partitions destroyed the statehood of Poland, but the national identity lived thanks to people educated in the educational strategy and culture educated during the reign of Stanisław August. Many did the Church with her rites and the spreading of faith, though on the another hand he referred to St Paul: Let everyone be subject to the authority of others. There is no authority that does not come from God. Thus, he who opposes power opposes God’s order [...] and brings judgement upon himself. (Rom.13,1)

The church condemned the uprising. In fact, the arguments were wrong. Satan frequently installs power, so it is not right to perceive to it. But calling uprisings without weapons, diplomacy, with respective forest troops against powerful armies is unreasonable, contradictory
with a state-of-the-art effect that is counterproductive.

* Oh, my God * The peasant state was deprived of all rights. I will not go back to the Jagiello era erstwhile the woman became slavery. In the 19th century, it was abolished, at the earliest in the Prussian partition (1823), at the latest in Russian (1864). However, getting out of poorness was not easy. The born capitalism created a layer of workers who came from farmless peasants. Everyone suffered poverty, hunger, mediocre housing. This continued during the interwar period. Bunty was suppressed, remained passive.

Part of the solution was the church's charity, the orphanages, the dormitory. It was uncommon for entrepreneurs to build housing for workers or mill nursery
and kindergarten. present besides state and social care of the poor, disabled, homeless, etc. is insufficient (middle!).

The church in the 19th century and between wars had for the faithful, especially mediocre peasants
and workers explain their condition. B. Porter-Szülcz (Wara and Homeland, 2022) quotes the 1919 sermon: “Where do many diseases, disabilities, abrupt deaths come from; where is our life, full of anguish and complaints? These are the consequences of our sins. Where do the droughts and the straws come from, and where do these frequently unfruitful crops come from? How did this war end? It is besides a punishment for sins!”

Only after planet War II, especially in teaching John Paul II, did God’s vengeful place take place. But the covid pandemic was sometimes explained by punishment for sins... In any case, it was not recommended to rebel, but to endure the individual cross patiently as a share in Christ's torture for the redemption of mankind's sins.

* Oh, my God * Woe to the victorious, if they fall into inability, will not find help, will be politically indifferent – due to the fact that state aid can only be won by parties and social organizations.

Gloria Victis!

* Oh, my God * Hail and glory to the victorious in battles and victims of violence: soldiers, insurgents, civilians murdered in Warsaw and judaic uprisings, concentration camps and camps, in UB prisons, etc. It is not possible to separate the shed blood according to military formations, right or left, Catholics from Orthodox, Protestant, or even atheists. It is contrary to all belief, European culture, indecent to destruct cemeteries, to destruct monuments, to defame memory. We are outraged at the Russians, Belarusians and Ukrainians for obstructing the exhumation and care of war cemeteries, condemning Islamists for destroying old works of sacral art, and destroying gravestones and monuments commemorating russian (and Polish) soldiers from planet War II. Barbarian!

* Oh, my God * There is simply a kind of beaten to which the saying of Joseph Piłsudski (24.12.1918): “To be overcome and not to fall is simply a victory!” It is simply a society, surviving under abroad governments or under native authorities imposing “only right ideology”.

The model is the 19th century work of organic landowners, townspeople, intelligence. It was not adequate to abolish the serfdom and defile the peasants, to form a working and civilian class. They spoke and prayed at home in Polish, had a local peasant culture – folklore, but felt part of the society of possessive states. The sober enthusiasts – as Stefan Kieniewicz calls them – carried Polish culture to the full society and promoted national identity. Adam Leszczyński, the author of the “People's past of Poland” claims that it was the intention of peasants that made conscious Poles. Large-fielders have shown that this method is rational and effective.

* Oh, my God * Another kind of victorious opposition against imposed power can boast the Polish People's Republic. Most of the society supported agricultural reform, nationalization of the large industry, elimination of illiteracy, spreading Polish culture. People want to live in peace and security, even at the price of (apparent) submission to the hatch. Most joined the country, any even joined the ruling organization This resulted in the improvement of industry, agriculture, movie and literature, Polish culture, even the number of fresh churches (with the essential addition of russian internationalism). [There was something to sale to strangers after the transformation!] Of course, this was occupied by persecution of ideologies another than “only right”, deficiency of freedom of speech (read “between the lines”), low standard of living.

Activists always annoy the passiveness of the “people” and the reluctance to actively argue power. It's just a partial truth. People are followers and sympathizers of certain ideologies, and they are eager to perceive to ideologists and leaders, but it takes powerful events to go to the streets or strike like in Poznań 1956 or Solidarity in 1981. Rational cooperation is better than hopeless fighting. Of course, 1 can rebel against power, but 1 must be aware of the consequences of specified action. But taking compensation for patriotism is immoral!

* Oh, my God * After the election, part of society, apart from organization members, feels victorious, especially erstwhile the winning organization imposes only the right ideology and fights the slightest criticism of the government and its political line. Organic work is no longer enough, freedom of speech and self-defense must be exercised, but cooperation on matters beneficial to society and the state.

* Oh, my God * Praise be to those who are victorious if they do not yield and, despite their obstacles, do not deviate from their beliefs. Cooperation in good matters is not opportunism or submission, but the work of the citizen (and opposition!), which proved society in the times of the Polish People's Republic. It's not about ideology!

Vae (malis) victoribus!

* Oh, my God * Woe to politicians and military leaders causing war, but besides to emergence without military, diplomatic and ally preparations. (The exception is the Warsaw ghetto – they had no choice.)

* Oh, my God * There are winners sowing panic among the conquered population specified as Germany, the USSR or Japan in planet War II. There are authorities who impose a certain “only right” view on their own citizens: like socialism in the Polish People's Republic or Catholicism (even not Christianity!) and neoliberalism in the 3rd Republic of Poland.

The rulers must guarantee peace, safety and comparative prosperity, but besides freedom of speech and conditions for cultural development. Otherwise (here plagiarism from Mickiewicz's grandfathers) woe to them, woe to them! In life woe and woe after death to their souls!

Gloria omnibus non bella sed pacem facientibus!
Glory to all who do not war, but peace!
