The healing (that is, the sanitization) of teaching before it has yet occurred is met with a senseless criticism of people who do not know about teaching. I have the right to say so due to the fact that I have quite a few applicable experience: I taught respective years in primary schools, respective years in advanced school, respective years in university. I besides have a higher education in pedagogy, 2 masters and a doctorate. I know all the “modern” methods and ideas that led to the current attack of perverts on our schools.
One writer says he would like a “modern school” and fears “a Prussian model”, I know what he means by that: a conventional school with a class and class strategy in which discipline prevails, and the goal is to learn and educate. specified a way of teaching was e.g. in Galicia, and its excellent form reached in the Second Republic. Its remains besides survived in Poland after the Second War, but were contaminated with russification and communist indoctrination.
In order to heal Polish teaching, there is no request to do anything another than keep this conventional disciplined class-educational strategy or return to it, if it has been completely corrupted by the "modernity" of methods. In this system, pupils are subject to a teacher, teachers are subject to a director, a manager is subject to a curator and a curator is absolutely subject to a minister.
The most crucial change and the appropriate goal of healing will be first to learn the past of Poland in all classes and schools (with the exception of the first 3 grades of simple school, where the “propedeutics” of past can be fairy tales and legends). The basis of past is geography, whose place must, of course, be provided. The amount of hours needed will easy be achieved by eliminating Russian language and excessive hours of mathematics.
Thus, only insignificant changes in the number of subjects in primary and general education are needed to heal teaching. The Russian language must be completely eliminated, incomprehensible absurdity and insult to Poland. There must be a terrible hump of the Polish school, which is overgrown mathematics. Items like physics and chemistry must be combined into 1 object, which in English is called science. Maths and objects "accurate" are only useful to engineers.
Such a division of subjects was always in American schools and always passed the exam. peculiar subjects are taught in vocational schools or in vocational courses with very narrow specialization. It cannot be said that American discipline is following Polish science.
No improvement of teaching or "education reform" is needed. It would be harmful. Just teaching to heal.
There should be resumed textbooks from the period II of the Republic, specified as the excellent manual by Władysław Martynowicz: History. Handbook for Class V general schools, Lviv, 1
