Attention: Army on the road!

From Tuesday, September 23, to mid-October almost nationwide on Polish highways, expressways and national roads, there will be increased traffic of military vehicles. This is related to the return of soldiers from maneuvers taking place under the code name Iron Defender-25. Therefore, drivers should take peculiar care. specified organized journeys are not only a return to the parent units, but besides an crucial component of training. Columns may consist of not more than 20 vehicles. If there are at least 6 vehicles in a moving group, the column opens and closes the car with a visible orange plate on which a pictogram of 3 trucks is placed.

Regular drivers may overtake the column, but they must do so in a smooth and continuous manner. It is prohibited to enter between military vehicles.

The General Command of Types of Armed Forces urges that no photographs and recordings of military crossings be published anywhere, nor disclose the location and time of column movement.

The Iron Defender-25 is 1 of the most crucial training projects of the Armed Forces of Poland organized this year. Exercises are carried out until 26 September on land, air and sea. About 30 1000 soldiers from Poland and from allied NATO states participate.
