Chain Act. The Sejm did not reject the presidential veto

17 December 2025. The Sejm failed to reject a presidential veto against a bill prohibiting dogs from being permanently imprisoned. This means that the alleged Chain Act – despite the earlier adoption by the Sejm and the legislature after work in committees and their implementation – will not enter into force. In spite of society, this decision brings deep regret and disappointment to the environment..
