It's happened once.
Last Wednesday, the Sejm passed an amendment to the bill raising the budget limit for social construction. The amendments submitted to the bill were pushed through the voices of the PiS, Poland 2050 and the Confederacy, which was met with a harsh criticism of the Left. The reason was the vote of Poland 2050 was incompatible with the line of another coalition groups.
One of the amendments adopted allows organization tenants to get premises under the Social Housing Initiatives. The second predicts that dwellings cannot be converted into property for 15 years. Prime Minister Donald Tusk, referring to the results of the vote, found the actions of Poland 2050 unreasonable if they were intended to mark a distance from the coalition.
There is simply a hazard of repeating a akin situation — according to the Business Pool Poland 2050 may re-vote with the PiS and the Confederation unless it reaches agreement with the government on amendments to its own draft deregulation law. The Sejm has been working on this paper to facilitate entrepreneurs since November last year. The task went through its first reading in January 2025, but was then stuck in finance committees and deregulation despite earlier announcements of unlocking legislative work.
Petru confirms
Ryszard Petru, Polish MP 2050 and president of the parliamentary deregulation committee, points out that despite ongoing work on the project, he faces difficulties arising from the opposition of the Ministry of Finance.
Our deregulation task is under way – informs Petru. – They are allowed primarily due to the fact that the Ministry of Finance resists. But I'm inactive talking to the department, trying to convince our proposals. It is essential to compromise and adopt the draft, due to the fact that it is truly good for entrepreneurs.
The government addressed a negative opinion to the committee, signed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk. According to ‘Business Puls’, the main concerns concern the duplication of records from government projects and the introduction of solutions considered incorrect or besides burdensome for the state budget.
Petru, however, calms:
We have the support of the Law and the Confederation for our project. The civilian Coalition is against it. We do not want to vote with the opposition against our coalition. But if we are forced to do so, it will. However, we are inactive counting on an agreement with the government.
