The US Finance Ministry has present partially abolished the sanctions imposed on the Belarusian Ministry of Finance and the Belarusian improvement Bank. Belarusian potassium companies were besides full removed from the sanction list. This is the consequence of Belarus' release of political prisoners.
The Office for abroad Asset Control (OFAC) belonging to the U.S. Finance Ministry issued a licence allowing transactions involving the Belarusian improvement Bank (Bank Razwiccia), as well as 2 another related companies. The directive prohibiting transactions involving the Belarusian Ministry of Finance was besides abolished. The licence issued allows them to enter into economical relations with them, but does not unlock the assets of companies frozen by the USA.
At the same time, the Ministry of Finance removed from the sanction list a household of companies related to Belarusian potassium companies, producing potassium salts and fertilizers. It is the Belarusian Potassium Commission (Belarusian Potash Company), the Agrorosis and Belaruskalij and their subsidiaries. The sanctions for them were partially repealed on the basis of the licence issued as early as December, but they were now completely deleted from the list of regulation entities.
