U.S. president Donald Trump on Wednesday in Delaware took part in a celebration of the return of the bodies of six American soldiers who died in the war with Iran last week. At the request of families, the event was not broadcast by the media.

Six U.S. Air Force soldiers returned to the US, who died in an air tanker crash last Thursday in Iraq. The crew supported Operation Epicka Furia, launched by the US against Iran on 28 February. The military reported that the failure was not due to enemy fire or allied forces.

The ceremony was held at the Air Force Base in Dover. In addition to Trump, including Pentagon head Pete Hegseth and president of the American Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Dan Caine took part.

This is the second specified celebration with Trump since the beginning of the war with Iran. As reminded by the AP agency, the president has in the past assessed that this is the "hardest thing" he must do as commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

In total, at least 13 U.S. soldiers have died during this war so far, and about 200 were injured, including 10 badly, said the Pentagon.
