U.S. president Donald Trump told the Axios portal on Thursday that he must be personally active in the selection of a fresh leader of Iran, as was the case with Venezuela.
The American president admitted that Mojtaba Chamenei, the boy of killed leader Ali Chamenei, would most likely take over from his father. However, he stated that this was unacceptable to him.
Axios noted that the Iranian government has been translating the announcement of a fresh leader for respective days. However, the Thursday statements of Iranian politicians propose that this may happen soon.
They're wasting time. Chamenei's boy is simply a commoner. I must be active in the appointment, as in the case of Delcy (Rodriguez) in Venezuela," Trump said.
