Indianapolis Streets in the U.S. state of Indiana underwent a multi-thousand Eucharistic procession. Participants and commentators in the US talk about “the largest procession in the world”. Families with children, priests, bishops, seminarians and spiritual brothers and sisters participate in the prayer event.

According to the ncregister.com portal, respective tens of thousands of people attended the National Eucharistic legislature were gathered in downtown Indianapolis. A procession of over 1.5 km passed through the city streets, but it was besides accompanied by thousands of people gathered along the route. The faithful thus experienced a gathering with Christ hidden in the Sacrament of the Eucharist, carried in the monstrantia at the head of the procession.

This large spiritual manifestation began at the Indiana Convention Center and marched all the way to the Indiana War Memorial. Catholics of different ages attended the event. Both the youngest and the older and the strong of age. Priests besides participated in the procession, as well as Bishop Andrew Cozzens of Crookston, Minnesota and Archbishop Charles Thompson of Indianapolis. There were besides seminarians, brothers and sisters in the procession, and with them they besides marched families with children, including those who had late joined the first Holy Communion.

As ncregister.com recounts, the faithful standing on the way of the Eucharistic procession kneeled as priests approached them with a monstrance with the Blessed Sacrament.

A large procession of the city streets took place on the 4th day of the National Eucharistic Congress. It is estimated that between 50,000 people have arrived in Indianapolis since Wednesday, who participated in liturgical events, conferences or adorations that are part of the event.

The Congress, which is the consequence of a long-standing task for the renewal of the Eucharistic American Catholic bishops, aims to stimulate Catholics in their religion and love for the Eucharist. Everything takes place in preparation for a special, national "Year of Mission".

“Thank you for the many graces you have poured upon us. Jesus, spill them all over our land, all over our world. Jesus, we know the procession we had today, it is simply a symbol, a sign of our earthly pilgrimage, which has not yet ended. And this procession, possibly the largest in our country in decades, and it was inactive besides small. There are inactive millions of people in our cities, in our dioceses who do not yet know you" – Bishop Cozzens prayed.

“So many don’t know you. So many have not heard of your love. We know that you want all men, all nations to join this procession. We know you want all people to imitate you. And Jesus, we'll go with them. Jesus, bring them to us. We want to lead them to you, Jesus," he emphasized in the prayer of the hierarch.
