The fresh York State authorities reported that the alleged DEI practice developed in Joe Biden's time would proceed to apply in their schools. It is about promoting sex and LGBT ideology, including alleged diversity, equality and inclusiveness.
New York State authorities have already informed of their position as president Donald Trump. They indicated that they were not going to comply with the White House's demands to end the promotion of sex and LGBT in schools. DEI practices will proceed to apply despite Donald Trump's decision to expel them from the education strategy throughout the country. Moreover, the state of fresh York does not intend to respect the President's decision despite threats of ceasing national backing of the education system.
Daniel Morton-Bentley, legal advisor and Deputy State Commissioner of the Department of Education, argued in a letter to the national Department of Education that the US administration has no right to make specified demands.
"We realize that the current administration is trying to censor everything it considers to be diversity, equality and inclusive. But there are no national or state laws prohibiting the application of DEI rules," added AP Morton-Bentley.
Donald Trump's administration ordered K-12 (from kindergarten to primary school) facilities across the country on Thursday to certify within 10 days that they respect national civilian rights and end any "discriminatory DEI practices" as a condition for receiving national money.
"Federal financial assistance is simply a privilege, not a law," said Craig Trainor, acting as Deputy Secretary for civilian Rights in the Education Department. He maintained that many schools ignored their obligations, "including by utilizing DEI programs to discriminate against 1 group of Americans to favour another."
Federal support accounts for about 6% of the full backing of fresh York's K-12 schools.
