Donald Trump's duties were intended to improve the conditions under which the United States traded with the world. However, sometimes the effect of threats of advanced duties can have the other effect. This may be the case for Brazil, which, in consequence to the decision of the president of the United States to rise from 1 August to 50 percent of the customs duties on imports of Brazil, has decided to double trade with countries belonging to BRICS, says "Financial Times".
