U.S. president Donald Trump was on Saturday evening local time evacuated by the Secret Service with dinner with White home correspondents during which shots were fired.
Suspect opened fire in the hotel lobby and was captured by the service. He was armed with a shotgun, a gun, and quite a few knives.
Shortly after the start of the White home Correspondent Association gala at the Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., during which the president was to perform, shots were heard. Trump, who was on stage, was evacuated. The first woman of Melania Trump and Vice president J.D. Vance and another cabinet members were besides evacuated. The event was broadcast live on television.
In addition to cabinet members, specified as the Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, hundreds of journalists and politicians were present in the room. Guests of the event hid under tables in the ballroom.
After any time, the president posted an entry on his social networking site fact Social, in which he reported that the individual who fired during the dinner was captured. He added that Secret Service and law enforcement have done a large job.
