U.S. president Donald Trump's administration demands explanations from Spain on the euthanasia of 25-year-old Noelia Castillo Ramos," wrote the American paper "New York Post", citing the State Department's diplomatic message.

The paper reached the dispatch from Tuesday, in which the U.S. Ministry of Diplomacy instructed the U.S. Embassy in Madrid to analyse "the proceedings of Spanish law enforcement authorities on repeated sexual assaults, including collective rapes", which were victimized by Noelia.

The facility was instructed to convey to the Spanish government "serious concerns" about the "number of systemic human rights violations" that would prompt Noelia to decide to undergo euthanasia. "We are profoundly afraid about Mrs Castillo's allegations that she has been sexually abused respective times during her stay under state care and that no of the perpetrators have been held responsible," the quoted dispatch said.

The Department of State added that a 25-year-old "in her last hours of life expressed a hesitation about subjecting herself to euthanasia, but these signals were ignored" and that the case "brings serious concerns about the application of the Spanish Euthanasia Act" - the fresh York Post said.

According to the newspaper, the U.S. Ministry besides asked the Madrid embassy to cooperate with the Spanish authorities to find whether immigrants were active in the collective rape. "Mass and illegal migration is simply a human rights problem and the promotion of this migration by Spain poses a serious threat to the rights and freedoms of Spanish citizens, as well as to safety in the region and in the world," wrote the State Department.
