USA | American Czestochowa – Celebration of the Cursed Soldiers

On 3 March 2024 at the National Shrine of Our woman of Czestochowa at the initiative of the Smolensko-Katyński Committee and the “Polish Gaseta” and SWAP Clubs there was a celebration of tribute to the Cursed Soldiers.

The event was attended by activists of Polish associations and organizations from the east coast of the United States representing the states of fresh York, fresh Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsyvania, Masachuttets. Cursed soldiers, steadfast soldiers, are the Polish post-war underground of independency and anti-communist – anti-communist, independency movement. The main representatives were the well-known Józef Franczak, Zygmunt Szyndzierz, Danuta Kodkówna, Zdzislaw Badocha.

Commander Tadeusz Antoniak thanked everyone who attended the ceremony in the end. The ceremony closed the performance of the Polish national anthem. Then, according to the order of the celebrations, a Mass was held in the main church for the Cursed Soldiers. Bible reading was presented by Margaret Boyko and Aneta Antkowiak. Father Bogusław encouraged the people to buy books to support the Catholic mission in Uganda, which is now a Christian country. The Holy Mass ended with the prayer of the Bitter Regrets.

Captain Bogdan Liput then took the floor, who represented the atazat at the Polish Embassy in Washington. The talker thanked for organizing and promoting the celebration of the Cursed Soldiers, which is of large importance for perpetuating the past of the conflict for Poland's independence. A commemorative patriotic message was then read. The talker concluded his speech with an appeal “Hi and Praise to Heroes”. Adrian Kubicki, the Consul General of Poland in fresh York, took the floor. The talker summarized today's Polish meeting, which is organizing to celebrate the Cursed Soldiers and their warm will of the Non-violent Soldiers fighting for the independent Homeland of Poland. They did not accept the defeat of Poland on the 1 hand experienced by the German business and on the another hand by russian domination. They met with cruel fate, sentenced to torture and death. Consul Kubicki paid tribute to the grave of Chief WWAP Vincent Knapczyk along with widow Helena Knapczyk. At the time of reaching the grave, the consul's shoes gathered mud. Attempts to erase Poland failed and there was no burial of past in the mud. They turned out to be seeds, and they did not get erased. Let us be grateful to them and offer them our eternal memory.

Then the solemn Appeal of the Deceased was held, which was conducted by Chief Executive of SWAP Tadeusz Antoniak, The talker in his speech presented a set of names and names of the Cursed Soldiers, the dead and murdered by the communist system. present we become full of wonder and painful focus on the appeal of the fallen, murdered and lost in the fight for Poland's independence. Their home was the forest. Their camp was Polish field and forest. To the end, they believed that free Poland would return. Colonel Łukasz Ciepliński wrote in his last death row flu: “They call me a bandit, but this must shortly change.”

The appeal of the deceased was carried out in accordance with military regulations. After the names were mentioned, the command “Stand to the Appeal” came in, and in response, the veterans gathered answered “Hi to their memory”.
