Trump had already imposed a 20% work on Chinese goods in February, and last Wednesday announced the imposition of an additional 34 % tariff rate to establish ‘reciprocity’ in trade relations. After Beijing announced the same retaliation, the president of the United States announced another 50 percent, which together gives a 104 percent rate for almost all products imported from China.
Additional duties on China, as well as on 56 another countries with which the US has a trade deficit, will enter into force on Wednesday at midnight east American time (at 6 a.m. in Poland). Poland will besides be among the affected countries, as part of the European Union, which will receive a 20% duty.
