As von der Leyen stated, the work on the safety warrant plan for Ukraine "is going very well". “We have a clear action plan and we have reached an agreement with the White House,” said the head of the EC.
“The president of the United States Donald Trump assured us that American presence would be part of the safety for Ukraine; this has been confirmed many times,” stressed von der Leyen.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk and president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen were on Sunday in Krynka (Podlaskie) on the Polish-Belarusian border. Defence and security, including the protection of the east EU border, were the main subject of the talks.
Prime Minister Tusk and Head of the EC took part in the briefing with the SG and military command staff, the services active in the protection of the Polish-Belarusian border, on which hybrid actions and migration pressures inspired by Belarus and Russia have been taking place for respective years.

On the another hand, an electronic barrier was created along the border of the Bug River in Lublin; it is 171 km long.
In addition to defence and safety at the east border of the EU, the talks in Krynka have besides been discussed in the context of, among another things, the SAFE preferential lending programme, which is part of the European plan to build up, inter alia, Russia's military potential.
