On 15 August 2020, the 100th anniversary of the Warsaw conflict was held. The National Movement organized large anniversary celebrations in Warsaw, on which the groundbreaking event for our formation took place.
The celebrations started with the All-Polish Youth triumph March, which passed from the Basilica of the Holy Cross to Krasiński Square.
In the square there was a celebration of giving and sacrificing the flag of the National Movement. The banner was founded on the initiative of the Board of Mazovia RN by individual donors (Robert Winnicki, Krzysztof Bosak, Krzysztof Tuduj, Piotr Lisiecki, Marek Szewczyk, Witold Tumanowicz, Jerzy Janoska, Mariusz Krogulski, Dariusz Pastor, Andrzej Babiak, Jacek Piotr Filipczak, Aleksander Kowaliński), as well as the districts of Dolnośląski, Lubuski, Łódzki, Małopolska, Mazowiecki, Podlaski, Pomerania, Świętokrzyski, Wielkopolska and Zachodniopomorski of our party.
The papers establishing and giving the flag are the "National Movement Flag Foundation Act" with the content of: ,,,We present this solemn act to the National Movement, as a visible sign of a hot Polish patriotism and a actual Polish national idea, as a arrogant flag of the highest national-democratic and national-Catholic ideals and a commitment to the worthy fulfilment of Polish duties towards God, Nation and Homeland. Our perfect ancestors stated that "a large nation is the 1 who bears the banner of his faith, civilization and statehood high." So let it be a sign that will bring together the conscious forces of the Nation and lead the National Movement to triumph in the fight for the large Poland’ and the Act of Giving the flag to the National Movement’s content: ,,President of the National Movement by decision of 15 August 2020, on the Festival of the presumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of the Polish Crown,
The celebration of the Polish Army – the armed arm of the Nation and Homeland, on the 103rd anniversary of the establishment in Lausanne by Roman Dmowski, leader of the national camp and father of Polish independence, the National Committee of Poland, on the 100th anniversary of the glorious triumph of the Polish Nation over Bolsheviks, gives the national flag to the Movement.’
Dariusz Pastor and Iwona Wawruszczak were the godparents of the banner, while the first number of the banners were Jacek Piotr Filipczak (commander), Aleksander Kowaliński (standarowy), Rafał Wirzedek (assisting). Mieczysław Sołowa SJ. The guests at our ceremony were the captain Mieczysław Cybulski ,, Sharp’, veteran of the independency underground (NSZ); Renata Cytacka, councillor of the city of Vilnius; druh Stanisław Okorski, honorary president of the Association of Gymnastic Associations ,,,Sokol’’ in Poland; Ziemowit Przebitkowski, president of the All Poland Youth together with representatives of its board.
The flag of the National Movement presents key emblems specified as the sign of the White Eagle in the red field, Chrobry's sword, the Mariogram, the slogans “God, Honor, Homeland” and “Great Poland Catholic”.
By adopting the flag, the National Movement confirmed that it is not another ephemeral on the political stage, but a formation built for long years. The RN undertook the legacy of more than 1 100 and 30 years of the national camp and undertook not only to proceed the ideological, organizational and political work undertaken by Roman Dmowski, Zygmunt Balicki, Jan Ludwik Popławski, Karol Raczkowski and Teofil Waligórski, but besides to its creative development, enrichment for a fresh look, adequate to the challenges of the 21st century and the acquisition of fresh institutions in the nation for them.
