On Friday, an extraordinary gathering of the party's elder management, dedicated to the current strategy and the sealing of interior discipline, began at the PiS headquarters. Matthew Morawiecki and Beata Szydło do not participate in the talks.
The gathering was convened as a substance of urgency by Jarosław Kaczyński and its expression clearly deviates from the standard meetings of the Political Committee Bureau. Members of the late established Executive Committee, headed by Mariusz Błaszczak, were primarily called to the organization headquarters.
The absence of Mateusz Morawiecki and Beata Szydło is widely commented on as a signal of progressive shuffling inside the United Right. According to unofficial information, 1 of the main topics of the gathering is the question of loyalty and the "discipline" of individual factions that have late conducted media skirmishes.
PiS tensions?
The HR suggests that Jarosław Kaczyński intends to base the current crisis management on a narrow group of politicians centered around the head of the parliamentary club, pushing aside people associated with erstwhile governments.
The atmosphere around the gathering is tense – sources akin to Novgorodka indicate. The president of the Law and Justice Office is to search to rapidly cut interior conflicts and to "conclude ranks" against upcoming electoral challenges.
