On the night of 1 on 2 October, the Israeli Army (IDF) illegally invaded the ships of the Global Sumud Fleet, kidnapping an global crew, including Polish citizens. Among those captured by Israel are MPs at the Polish Parliament Franciszek Sterczewski and Omar Faris, known Palestinian-Polish activist. They are kidnapped members of a peaceful mission to break the blockade of humanitarian aid supplies to the Gaza Strip.
On board the ships seized by Israel were baby diapers as well as medicines and food for the wounded and starving Palestinians trapped in Israel's besieged Gaza.
