“There is no uncertainty that we are inactive in the phase of building the representation” – so the white-red selector Jan Urban assessed the state of readiness of the Polish squad before the match with fresh Zealand.
A social gathering with the fresh Zealand squad will be held on Thursday at the Silesian Stadium at 8:45 pm. Before the match, Coach Urban pointed out that we would see “new faces” and players, “who had played little minutes”.
The selector indicated that the representation is in the shaping phase: “We are looking for the best possible solutions in terms of system, players, kind of the game. For all of this, we request time to realize that he's just not here. It's all done on a surviving body, these are working conditions.”
After a friendly match against fresh Zealand, Polish representation will face Lithuania on Sunday in the 2026 MŚ 2026 elimination match.
