On 1 September at Westerplatte at the Coast Defenders Memorial, commemorating the 84th anniversary of German aggression against Poland was held. The ceremony was attended by local authorities, the government and the president of Poland. In his speech Minister Błaszczak warned against the rebirth of Russian imperialism and informed about the expansion of the Polish Army.
84th anniversary of the outbreak of planet War II
The celebrations began symbolically at 4:45 p.m. with the sound of alarm sirens, as this hr the German battleship Schleswig-Holstein attacked the Polish military depot on Westerplatte. It was 1 of the first war goals of the 3rd Reich, which is why Westerplatte's fire is traditionally considered the beginning of planet War II. Only 200 Poles under the command of Major Henryk Sucharski for 7 days bravely resisted the assault of 3 1000 German troops attacking from land, sea and air. As a consequence of the fighting, 15 Polish soldiers were killed and 30 wounded; German casualties are estimated at 50 killed and 120 wounded.
Prior to the speech, president Andrzej Duda laid flowers at the Cemetery of Polish Army Soldiers Westerplatte. Tomasz Grodzki, Head of the National safety Office Jacek Siewara and Minister of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak attended the ceremony.

Minister Błaszczak: 4th demolition of Poland
The Minister of National Defence recalled that the attack on Poland was preceded by the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact signed between national socialist Germany and russian Russia.
84 years ago, Germany attacked Poland, so the Second planet War broke out. This assault was preceded by the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact, and thus by an agreement signed by the abroad ministers of Nazi Germany and russian Russia. As a consequence, there was another 4th partition of Poland. Today, as all year, we commemorate everyone who gave their lives for free Poland [...].
