–The basis of what we are doing is simply a common belief: that cooperation is present the most powerful form of leadership, that cognition is the foundation of trust and that the future does not arise alone, we are building together," said Robert Grey, Chancellor of the University of Warsaw, during the inauguration Leaders Forum poweredby Poland. The University of Warsaw is an academic partner of the initiative accompanying the planet economical Forum in Davos. For 5 days, representatives of the planet of science, politics and business will discuss the most crucial challenges for Europe. The panels will feature prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, and Chancellor Robert Grey.
How can organisations build a strong culture against generational changes and tomorrow's uncertainty? What can governments do to better defend society from the consequences of a fresh power game? How can we redefine the labour market? Will technology kill us?
These are just a fewer of the topics that will be discussed during about 30 panel sessions with the participation of Polish leaders in science, politics and the economy. Leaders Forum powered by Poland is simply a five-day global event held at the planet economical Forum in Davos (19–23 January). They are organised by the Center for global Relations, THINKTANK and leading experts from Poland. The academic partner of the initiative is the University of Warsaw.
"The planet is presently facing many hard challenges. The function of the university is to guarantee the provision of reliable cognition and its effective usage in social practice. This is the goal of meetings and debates held in Davos: combining knowledge, experience and leadership in search of solutions for the most crucial global challenges – emphasises Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw.
The main nonsubjective of the Forum is to present Poland as a dynamic, innovative and rapidly developing economy.
– As the University of Warsaw and the Forum partners, we came to Davos with a clear conviction: knowledge, discipline and liable leadership must go hand in hand present if we want to truly influence the future. This gathering is more than a talk about politics or positions, it is simply a talk about shared responsibility. We are here not only as representatives of our institutions, but as practitioners of the future. The fact that Poland can gather specified a strong global group of leaders in 1 place clearly shows our ambitions: to be where there is real dialog and decisions of global importance are being made," said Robert Grey, Chancellor of the University of Warsaw, during the inauguration of the Forum.
– In a planet of fast technological change, geopolitical tensions and fresh economical models, universities cannot limit themselves to the creation of knowledge, they must aid translate it into real decisions and actions that service societies, based on liable leadership, resilience and, most importantly, on the human dimension of development, added Chancellor of the University of Warsaw.
Leadership Forum
Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, and Robert Grey, Chancellor of the University of Warsaw, will execute together in 3 panels during Leaders Forum powered by Poland. On 22 January the Rector will discuss the monetary and financial sovereignty of Europe. The Chancellor will take part on 21 January in a debate on the future of technological cooperation and on 22 January in a panel on technological diplomacy.
