Another sad decision by Pope Francis. In the United States, Conservative Bishop Joseph Naumanna, a defender of the Eucharist, will replace Liberal Bishop Shawn McKnight.
Archbishop Joseph Naumann has led Kansas City metropolitan area since 2005. He's 75 years old, hence his departure is nothing strange. Hierarch wrote in the past of the Church in the United States, among another things, a decisive defence of the Eucharist's worship on the controversy over the giving of Holy Communion to pro-abortion politicians. Recently, he besides fought against Satanists who wanted to profane Catholic holiness during the blasphemous imitation of Holy Mass on the Capitol of Kansas.
Unfortunately, the successor of Archbishop Naumanna will not be a hierarch of the equally glorious past. It will be Bishop Shawn McKnight, who has served in Jefferson City so far. In 2021 McKnight joined a group of American bishops who did not want to get active in the issue of giving Holy Communion to abortionists.
According to these bishops, no top-down guidelines were to be issued at national level. Ultimately, the aim was not to brand specified pro-abortional politicians as nominally Catholic Joe Biden or Nancy Pelosi. McKnight besides claimed that Catholics are morally committed to receiving vaccines against Covid-19.
