NEW YORK- United Airlines (UA) flight from New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Dublin International Airport (DUB) makes an emergency landing at St. John’s International Airport (YYT).
Chicago-based carrier operates one daily flight between New York, USA, and Dublin, Ireland.

United Flight Emergency Landing
According to FlightRadar24 data, United Airlines flight UA23 took off from New York JFK at 1:07 AM UTC. The flight cruised at 37,000 feet.
After being airborne for over two hours the flight attendant reported a medical situation onboard the aircraft.

Following this, the flight crew told ATC and decided to make a diversion to St. John’s International Airport, Canada. The flight made a U-turn and landed safely at 5:56 AM UTC.
The flight was operated by Boeing 777-200ER, registered N217UA. Further, it is a 24.6-year-old aircraft, powered by two Pratt and Whitney (P&W) 4000 engines.

Earlier this month, United Airlines Flight UA36 initiated emergency protocols during its final approach to Edinburgh Airport following a medical incident onboard. The flight, operating from Newark Liberty International Airport, activated a 7700 emergency squawk code at 9:53 AM.
