The Mercosur Agreement (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay) concerns trade partnership, political dialog and sectoral cooperation. It opens the EU marketplace to products from these countries, mainly meat and cereals. Farmers fear an influx of cheaper, weaker products that will destabilise the market. The EU has more than 40 trade agreements. They should be reviewed.
