A ghost town unknown to maps. From German garrison to russian military enclave
The clomine was born in the 1930s as a garrison of Wehrmacht known as Westfalenhof. After planet War II, the camp was taken over by the Red Army, and the settlement was renamed "Grodek" and surrounded by strict protection. For almost half a century Kłomino was an "invisible" base removed from the Polish jurisdiction and invisible on maps. It wasn't until 1993 that the Russians withdrew, and the city was simply abandoned. The Polish authorities considered various scenarios - prison, deportation camp, NATO base - but no of these plans were implemented until today. As a result, only a twelve souls remained from the erstwhile 5 1000 settlement. There were only 12 people surviving here in 2012.
An abandoned ghost town consecutive from the post-apocalypse. Legends and Secrets of Ruins Klomin
Now Kłomino is almost completely uninhabited and could easy be utilized as a phase plan for "The Last of Us" - a series about a planet destroyed by a deadly poisonous fungus. Abandoned blocks and grass-growing streets paint a image of a real postapocalypse. The echo of the steps resonates here as the unopposed ending of the ghost communicative whispered by the fire. Formally, there were only 12 residents here in 2012, but local legend enthusiasts confirm that there are inactive people hiding in abandoned buildings. Only 4 main buildings survived from the erstwhile garrison - 1 municipality, 1 private and 2 belonging to the State Forests; all another buildings were demolished. These abandoned corridors and walls, on which time has passed since the sight of faded propaganda posters, tempt explorers and photographers, but wandering around them is dangerous - many buildings endanger to collapse.
Urbex, mystery-seekers and future plans. Explorers versus local revitalization projects
Local authorities have noticed that Kłomino is increasingly visited by "tourists", or possibly alternatively fans of forbidden secrets. A peculiar forest way was set up to facilitate the visit to the town-spectrum. Nevertheless, the future of Kłomin remains uncertain. The settlement lies far from the larger cities, there is no approved planning, and the municipality budget does not supply for funds for the restoration of the ruins. There were ambitious concepts - a museum of Cold War history, a endurance base or a village of artists was to be established in the city. However, no of these projects were implemented due to a deficiency of funding. Explorers gag that Kłomino will most likely stay an open-air museum. His future is written alternatively in legends and horror books (whose hero is simply a city of spirits could successfully stay) than in real revitalization plans.
