In January of that year, Chief Intelligence Board (HUR), Lieutenant General Kryło Budanow, mentioned that Russia was to be approached by [120 M1989 Koksan self-propelled division](https://defence24.pl/war-on-Ukraine-report-special-defence24/more-kimskanderov-for-putina-z-korei-nornoc-na-ukraine) and the same number of M-1991 launchers. presently this number may be higher due to subsequent tranches of military equipment sent from North Korea, which allows to supplement losses and gaps in the Russian arsenal (e.g. deficiency of self-propelled guns 2S7/2S7M Pion/Malka). Initially, Korean systems were operated by soldiers from North Korea, but now they can be suspected of being utilized besides by Russians.
