It was only late recognised that there was no Ukrainianization in Poland. This is not about the fact that there are about 1.5-2 million Ukrainians in Poland.
These average Ukrainians, especially those working, are not the engine of Ukrainianization. Ukrainianization of Poland is introduced in accordance with Ukrainians with Polish citizenship and those Ukrainians who received it in express mode upon arrival in Poland (video of Natalia Panchenko).
However, the biggest harm is done by those Poles who are possessed by pro-Ukrainian amok. They are the ones who make plans for a common Polish-Ukrainian state, they force them, against the will of most Russian-speaking Ukrainians, to force the Ukrainian language into them: in banks, online portals, newspapers, railways, etc. After all, there is an even worse trend – the official, nationalization of Polish science. Deputy Minister of discipline and Higher Education is in Donald Tusk's government a fanatic Ukrainian – Andrzej Szeptycki. He has real problems identifying state loyalty, due to the fact that he acts as individual implementing Ukrainian policy against Russianism in all field, besides scientific. In an interview with “Rzeczpospolita” he says:
"In Poland Russian disinformation cannot openly be based on the pro-Russian narrative. That would be ineffective. But playing another pianos, including the anti-Ukrainian piano, is much more effective. There is simply a Russian communicative in Polish discipline that says Ukraine is simply a fallen state. We have scientists – political scientists, historians, philosophers – who are active in this topic. They compose articles for newspapers, print books, due to the fact that in social sciences they print them easier than with the mentioned procedures in sciences or medicine.” What to do about it? Sheptycki answers: “With the support of the Ministry at the University of Warsaw, we launched a peculiar task “Science checks” which aims to combat technological misinformation.”
Let us be clear – this is the first effort after the 1950s to close the Polish mouth to scholars whose publications and views are not in line with the expected ones. The Mieroszewski Institute, which openly implements Ukrainian historical policy, hypocritically supporting the authority of Jerzy Giedroycie and Juliusz Mieroszewski, concluded that the “Russian narrative” is the proclamation of specified as the delegitization of Ukraine (e.g. “Crupt Ukraine”, “Ukraine divided”, “Ukraine as a puppet of the West”), the legitimacy of Russia’s actions (e.g. “Protection of Russian-speaking people”, “Crime centuries-old Russian”), the discredit of the West (e.g. “West has provoked war”, “Poland’s pawn of the USA”), demobilize Poles (e.g. “this is not our war”, “nothing depends on us”). According to the world-renowned political scientist prof. John Mearsheimer, if he worked in Poland, he would be accused of spreading “Russian narrative”.
Polish universities have been bad for a long time. Many scientists working there, contrary to their views, opportunistic, from day to day, from fear – went on to preach primitive Ukrainian propaganda and “cut off” their erstwhile views and achievements. It is as gross as it is insulting. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian minister in the Polish government believes that there are inactive any to be called to order.
