Artillery systems 2S7/7M Pion/Małka have been actively active in fighting since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, experiencing their second youth. They are frequently utilized as alleged siege artillery, which allows for more effective demolition of the enemy's fortified positions comparative to the more common 152/155 mm cannon howitzers. However, their primary problem is the deficiency of manufactured ammunition, which forced the Ukrainians to scope for ammunition in the same caliber, which the Soviets utilized to fire on, among others, the Finnish Mannerheim Line.
