The crisis in the European steel manufacture has become the subject of an extraordinary manufacture summit. According to unofficial findings, the European Commission will present a proposal to impose prohibitive 50% tariffs on steel imported from outside the European Union as early as next week. At the same time, duty-free import quotas are to be halved. The tariffs would apply to all steel suppliers, without exception.
