The transfer by the British of the “Storm Shadow” maneuvering missiles, and then by the French equivalent SCALP-EG, increased the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian aviation, made it possible to destruct key objects on the previously safe Russian rear at a real distance of 100-200 km from the front line. Thanks to this, the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade, from the base in Starokantinov, flying Su-24M front bombers and Su-24MR reconnaissance, gained fresh offensive capabilities.
