Ukraine and Canada have agreed on a joint defence production. The agreement was signed today, on independency Day of Ukraine, with the participation of Canada's national defence minister David McGuinty, in the presence of president Volodymyr Zelenski and Canadian Prime Minister Mark J. Carney. According to the agreement, the aim of the agreement will be “to deepen bilateral cooperation in the defence industry, to grow and make fresh production capacities in Ukraine and Canada, and to increase resilience and continuity in the supply of defence products. Today's arrangements will not only facilitate the establishment of Ukrainian companies in Canada and the exchange of technology, but will besides aid to supply Ukraine's Armed Forces with modern weapons and military equipment in the long term. We are grateful to Canada for the solidarity and constant support of Ukraine in our fight for freedom and independence" - informed the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Denys Szmychal.
