As planned, on 24 February, the Council of the European Union is expected to approve 2 of the 3 legal acts essential to finalise the process. All papers have already been adopted by the European Parliament and are at the end of the procedure in the Council of the EU. It was assumed that their formal acceptance would take place on the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
